Apologies for the title - that's what my mother teaches her grandies!!!!!
When we were kids we used to make on a weekly basis these yumo no bake biscuits. Instead of baking them you put them in the fridge to set. When we were on the farm we put them in our chest freezer then sat ON it until they were ready.
In hindsight I don't know why we made them weekly as they were gone the same day.
Anyway, I was thinking about them probably a month ago and could still remember the bag of Oats we used (that had the recipe on the back) and so set about trying to find it - I couldn't!!!! This of course made the urge to make them even stronger.
Then, yesterday while blog hopping I came across One More Moore. I started scrolling through and then came to the entry for No Bake Biscuits. Reading the ingredients I had mild heart flutters as I soon realised these were the biscuits!!!!
I was so excited, so tonight I set about re-creating my childhood (just minus the sitting on the freezer part). Yumo chocolate balls of lard and delisheousness!!!!! Make them! I dare you!
