Source If you are looking for a great easy-read book for your holiday I highly recommend A Home Companion by Wendyl Nissen. I received a copy for Christmas and read it in two days.
It is set out as a monthly journal and at the end of each month Wendyl shares her recipes for things like baby wipes, apple cider, house cleaner, window cleaner and a whole lot more. This is from her website which sums it up nicely:

I found it absolutely hilarious and really easy to read. However there is a bit of a shock factor to it as well as she shares some of the ingredients/chemicals that are found in some everyday items that we have in our house.
Don't get me wrong, I am SO not a greeny, save the earth type of person, however I do think I will be changing some of the habits in our family.
