There were no second guesses for our boy - it had to be the All Blacks and it HAD to be Ritche McCaw.
Rather than paying $120 for the real thing I made my own - so much fun trying to work it out and then putting it all together under the ever so watchful eye of the 4 year old.
Take one black tee and sew on the white collar from a $1 op shop shirt. Take a silver metallic sharpie and add the fern, All Blacks, player number and of course surname (I know they don't have their names but he loved it anyway). Then sneak out a pair of hubbys black work socks, cut off the toes so they fit, sew them up and draw two silver rings around the top.
And waala you have your own home made AB's shirt for $8.

Might have to work on the Haka though! |
